Summary: J.OK - Nothing Special Here 2010-04-21
Comment: Honestly, this guide is Just OK. Sure it covers everything a gaming guide typically covers but there's just nothing special here. It's a relatively thin guide at only 176 pages for a game like this, and at $20 retail value that's a rip-off. However, for the discount Amazon is offering it at, it may be worth your money if you really love this game and are into gaming guides. For my purposes though, there isn't anything in it that you can't find on the Internet and thus it's not worth my $$. But again, it just depends on how much you like the game and how much you want a guide to go w/ it. Definitely don't buy at retail though....

Comment: its not a bad guide but it could use maps instead of the muddy walkthrough...

Summary: Not all that great... 2010-02-27
Comment: I have noticed at least one mistake in this guide. It tells you both in the 'relics details' chart, as well as in the individual descriptions of each relic that the Filippo's Rage relic is found in Anger, however, in the section describing anger, nowhere does it tell you where it is found. I have looked elsewhere on the internet for the info, and it appears that the Filippo's Rage relic is found in Lust instead.

There were other things I noticed as well as I was following along, but didn't write them down, and now I can't remember them, but there are a few such mistakes in this guide.

I, for some reason, thought this would be a comprehensive walkthrough of where to find all the relics/collectibles in the game, but there are a few very major omissions. It ends up becoming more of a guide for strategy during battles, but I figure most people don't really need too much help with this, since each person has their own style and picks different abilities/relics that Dante will use.

Summary: Great Asset 2010-02-19
Comment: Like the others have stated, this guide has everything you need to get through the game. It has little icons to show you where the relics and silver coins are found so you don't have to dig through the entire guide page by page, and if you're missing a relic, they're listed in alpha order so you can find them easier. It lists all of the achievements and where you can easily earn them, and it has an artwork section in the back.

I especially liked the fact that it covers the game on Hard. I played through once on Normal and thought the guide went a little overboard on strategy for boss battles and such, but then when I played through again on Hard (Hellish, I think it's called?) I could see why the extra strategy was needed. If the guide had been written for Normal difficulty I would've been upset playing through Hard.

Comment: I liked the game Dante's Inferno...the guide not so much.
I purchase many game guides for action adventure games for one reason, to find the collectables. This game guide however goes into painful details walking you through the circles of hell holding your hand. I didn't purchase this guide until I was over halfway through the game just to see approximately how far I was through and how many collectable I had missed. To do this I assumed there would be a chronological list of all the damned souls, relics, and judas coins. To my suprise everything had been put in alphabetical order. This wouldnt have been a problem, but if your going to go to the extremes of arranging everything by alpha, I would think to add as a footnote what chapter it was located in.
After finishing the game I thought I would find which damned soul I missed and then proceeded to find its location, to be on the lookout next time, guess what? They aren't even in a bold font in the walkthrough. Needless to say, I felt kinda like I was the one in hell. Long story short I found this board on gamefaqs that helped me alot more.

I still like looking through the guide though, but thats me
