Dead Rising 2: Prima Official Game Guide

Wow, what an incredible guide. I gave the Dead rising 1 guide a really bad review. This guide is EXCELLENT comparison. Hats off to Stepehn Stratton.

The appendix is worth every penny. Stratton lists the location of every item in every location. He lists strength of every weapon, and the durability. He lists every mixed juice drink combination. He lists the time that every mission and every case starts. The pull out poster is incredible. This is something the first guide by Mr. Off didn't have. (The first guide didn't even have a very detail index)

This guide's psycho strategies are rather poor though. For example, "Meet the Contestants" mission strategy suggestions are laughable. Where to get the steak above the casino for Snowflake is not easy to understand. Reading the walkthrough section you get a sense that Stratton enjoyed and put his heart into compiling tables more than writing a walkthrough. This is one of the better guides out there and puts some other ones to shame (read Mass Effect 2). Everything is covered and organized very well. I finished the game on my 1st playthrough saving 40 survivors and killing all psychos and completing all the case files. There is no way I could have done that without this guide. If you have not played dead rising 1, you should absolutely get this guide or you will be lost and frustrated with this excellent game. If you have played (and loved) dead rising 1, then you probably don't care about having to do multiple playthroughs to figure everything out without a guide. But this guide is still very convenient to have - combo card locations, item locations, making $, boss strategies (who can be very frustrating), etc. - I highly recommend it.

To get 100%trophies in this game everything must be found. It wld have been nice to have checklist for each trophy to make sure I got everything. Great and very detailed strategy guide nonetheless. Everything I expected I got.
