Critics and Gamers are torn on what to think about the recently released Dragon Age 2, but if you are a fan like me, this guide will be incredibly helpful to you. Like the guides to Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age Awakening, it covers almost anything that you will need to know, including Missions, Companions, Items, Maps, Dialogue, Gameplay, Combat, Stratedgy, and yes, Romance. It covers how to get in good with your Companions, ergo what gifts to give them, and each of their quests. The maps are detailed, and the walkthroughs are spot on. If you are a fan of DA2, but you are a perfectionist or are stuck on an area, this guide is worth the very low price.

First off, I'd like to point out how well made this guide is. The paper and print quality is the best I've seen on any guide. But, that's where the greatness ends. Like someone had already mentioned, this guide, for the most part, is word-for-word identical to what you'll see in your in-game quest menu. If you're buying this to get an insight on character builds and dialog help, you are wasting your money. Also, the quests are split into different sections: main quests, secondary, companion, and the lesser. In theory this sounds like good organization, but in practice it makes it so I wish I had twenty fingers to bookmark all the pages I currently need to read. The older guides(DA:O, Awakening) moved with the flow of the game and had most the info needed condensed into linear chapters. Honestly, about 1/3 through DA:2 I stopped using the guide because the time wasted flipping from one entire chapter to another looking for helpful hints (of the same topic), was killing the overall...Read more

I own strategy manuals for several games and this one has been the easiest I have used. Information is organized logically and makes it excellent for a quick reference. It also provides in depth information for people like me who need to know more about the lore of DA. The author/s did an excellent job.
