Surprisingly Good Stories,

First of all, I am always wary of anthologies; for example, I am concerned with the number of great stories vs. lame stories. I've also been such a big fan of Permuted Press that I have ridiculously high standards for my zombie horror, and May December Publications is one of those newbies, only recently gaining some recognition as a literary contender in the horror genre. "Embedded" is an incredible story, I hope this short story inspires a movie. I lived in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky as a child... And I would love to see the area annihilated by zombies. I am a veteran, the perspective of a civilian journalist with a military unit is fascinating to me, as we did not allow reporters during the Desert Storm ground war. The addition of religious fanatics to the terrible tale reminded me of my evangelical family and their obsession with the Rapture.
Every story in the anthology is killer... I have always enjoyed the excitement of breaking news reports dealing with catastrophe and carnage. In my opinion, the most entertaining moment of a zombie book or movie is when humanity realizes they have become prey to the predators unleashed by the pandemic.
This book is an awesome addition to my collection of Horror anthologies, I will be able to read this compilation again and again. I recommend this to my friends... And to my family, as they are...Read more
