Product Description
This is the story of the Lenin and McCartney of the video game industry - John Carmack and John Romero. Together, they created an empire, ruled a billion-dollar industry, and provoked a national controversy. They created the successful "Doom" and "Quake", until the games they made tore them apart.

Summary: Great Book! 2003-07-11
Comment: I read this book in a matter of days. It is a great read with a lot of in-depth interviewing of the guys at id. The author really put a lot of time and effort into making this book very detailed. I gave it a 5 out of 5 because my ambition is to be game programmer and this book helped me see what these "kids" went through to becomming head of the video gaming empire.
