Tekken 3 (Prima's Official Strategy Guide)

Boy, was I disappointed. This "strategy guide" had NO strategy. Heck, it didn't even have a good layout for the moves!! I bought this book for the characters exclusive to the PlayStation version, hoping for a COMPLETE moves list for them, but of course, I was wrong. It didn't even have combos, and what they passed off as combos were actually the 10-strings that are already in the game! The strategy disgraces the genius of Tekken! I could probably beat Simon Hill because the Versus Books strategy guide was actually a strategy guide! And that strategy guide was actually made by national Tekken champs!

Don't get this strategy guide. The best parts of the book are ones you can glance through when you're sitting down reading it in the newstand. The artwork (4 measly pieces that you can download) and the history of Namco are the only things going for it.

This book is a good one and it has many details like a complete list for each fighter's moves,and also a 'versus'section which gives you hints on how to beat any cpu opponent with any fighter pla- yed with,and there is a good deal of information about secret characters too,another interesting thing is that it has a section describing the history of the tekken series from the original tekken game to tekken3,also a nice section of the art gallery of tekken3,i don't think that you can find these drawings anywhere else.Some might be wondering why i didn't give this book a 5 star rating(since it has all these information in it), the reason is simple,the only drawback is quite a big one,the general fighting strategy section of each fighter is quite short and it barely describe three or four special moves of each character!! while some characters like yoshimitsu or lei each has a ton of special moves,but this section only describes and shows few moves and stances...Read more

Prima delivers the best linking moves than any other strategy guide. The Art gallery was great, especially the way namco showed Yoshimitsu's Space craft from the inside for the first time ever. The Bio's were filled with more information on the charecters than any other gaming magazine or strategy guide. If you are a true Tekken fan this is the book for you!!!!!!!
