This is a curious book of older Christmas stories. They are not terribly religious, and some are even clever--though a few are just plain weird.
While entirely appropriate for children, the stories are old-fashioned in values and attitude, so there are clear class distinctions, derogatory mentions of Jim Crow, and traditional gender roles. None of this was overwhelming (passing mentions and inferences, mostly), but if you're really sensitive to any of those things, you might want to give the book a once-over before reading it to your kids.
There is an active table of contents. There are a few scanning errors that appear like typos throughout the text.

Happy, Happy, just lots of fun before Christmas. I love these stories and so did my youngest. Still this is where an illustraded large book is just a bit more fun.

Perfect for kids to read around the holidays. Nice to snuggle up on the couch at night on Christmas Eve with a cup of coco. A good story for young kids to grow up with highly recommend.
