Resident Evil 2, following on the success of Resident Evil, retains all the zombie-killing, puzzle-solving, real-time adventure of the original, while adding a new setting, outdoor scenes, and even harder puzzles.

Capcom's Resident Evil is one of the best-selling PlayStation games ever, and the hugely anticipated Resident Evil 2 -- with its many improvements - is expected to have at least as big an audience. Toy Biz, Inc., is releasing a line of Resident Evil toys in April, and Wild Storm Entertainment is planning a line of Resident Evil comic books.

The PlayStation's Resident Evil series has amassed at least as big a following as Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider titles, and with good reason. This exciting and challenging game offers good graphics, great gameplay, and tons of zombies to shoot--the perfect combination. Jason Rich's guide to the game is well-organized, with lots of maps, hints, and screen shots. The book walks you through the game from the perspective of Claire, concentrating primarily on that character's path through the zombies. If you choose to play as Leon, your path will be pretty much the same, though several "Leon's Strategy" call-outs identify where your strategy should vary.
