About the Author
Rick Barba is the author of more than 30 computer game strategy guides for Prima Publishing, including the official guides for Tex Murphy: Overseer, The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, and Riven: The Sequel to Myst. He also wrote Myst: The Official Strategy Guide (Prima), the best-selling guide of all time with more than 1 million copies in print.

Appropriately billed as "one of the most anticipated adventure games of the year," Fox Interactive's The X-Files Game plops you into the role of an FBI special agent. In this game, you work overtime to help find and save agents Mulder and Scully. Prima's guide offers a pair of walk-throughs to step you through the entire adventure. The first is a thorough, step-by-step solution for every single aspect of the game, while the second is a quick-and-dirty guide through the game's critical path. The book also lists and describes the many items and characters you'll run across. Most of these are right out of the TV series, and the book also lists the first series appearance for each. You can cross-reference this information using the abbreviated episode guide in the back of the book. (It lists every episode for the first four seasons.) Finally, the book includes a Q & A session with the game's developer (Greg Roache) and a full-color spread of publicity shots for each of the TV show's recurring characters. --Michael Ryan

This book was the most helpful guide I have ever had. I couldn't put it down. I just wanted to keep on going. It got me through the whole game in just over an hour, not even. If you are just dying to get through your game, you better buy this book. I garantee you'll get your moneys worth.

This is an excellent guide. I would not have finished the game without it. It gives detailed instructions on what to do. It made the game alot less frustrating and alot more fun!

This is a great book for The X-Files: The Game. It has everything you'll need to know about the game plus funny messages, a section that explains the little things you don't understand, a picture gallery, an interview with the director of the game, and a quick walkthrough for agents on the run.The only thing I didn't like about it was the small nit I found that made me have to hesitate to go on with the game. I would greatly recommend this book.
